I’ll be honest, folks: Fundraising isn’t my favorite part of this job — but it’s a necessary one. 

My campaign literally depends on grassroots support, and while I’d rather spend my time working to deliver real results for hardworking families or meet with folks across Central and Southern Illinois, our fundraising goals cannot be ignored. 

I’ll never act like the sky is falling (because it’s not), but our end-of-quarter deadline is coming up FAST, and our numbers aren’t where they need to be to meet our goal. 

Not to mention, it’s the first quarterly deadline of the election year, so falling short now could put us in a vulnerable spot.
