It’s Tamie Wilson, and I want to make this quick: I am on the ground in Washington, D.C. joining the Women’s March and the protests in front of the Supreme Court to make our voices heard and fight for our rights.

As the Court heard arguments from ultra-conservative lawyers urging them to unilaterally block access to medication abortion that has been used for the last 24 years. We made sure that the media and every politician around understood that we won’t go back. We refuse to let politicians strip away our freedoms and our rights.We will NOT go quietly, and we will NOT sit down and shut up.

Medication abortion has time and again been proven safe and effective through extensive research and data, as well as with decades of use with FDA approval and under the guidance and supervision of physicians and medical professionals. In short, there is NO justification for what the far right is trying to do except exert EVEN MORE control over women’s lives and bodies.

WE WILL NOT BE FORCED BACK IN THE KITCHEN BAREFOOT AND PREGNANT!

Enough is enough. I pledge to always show up, to help grassroots advocates fight for what is right, and be there side by side with real people as we take action for change.
