# [#]John,

As we wrap up Women’s History Month, let’s continue to reflect on and celebrate the countless women who have advanced progress in our nation and throughout the world. And importantly, we must also recognize the work still ahead to achieve true gender equity.

You may not know this, but we owe the recognition of Women’s History Month to women from Sonoma County, in the congressional district I’m honored to represent. My predecessor, former Rep. Lynn Woolsey, chaired an education taskforce that initiated the first Women’s History Week in 1978. A few years later, the Sonoma-County-founded National Women’s History Project (NWHP) built a coalition of education and advocacy groups across the country, and successfully petitioned Congress to recognize the entire month of March as Women’s History Month.

Our country has come a long way since those first celebrations. Today, I’m proud to serve alongside a record number of women in Congress.

John, many of these women have been named to the DCCC’s Frontline program – meaning their races are the most competitive in the country this cycle, and the target of dark money and GOP spending.

We need to make sure they report strong numbers in their first FEC report of the year, and have the resources they need to take on the fights ahead. Will you make a split contribution to their campaigns right away? [[link removed]]If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your split donation will process immediately.
