Hey — I know I emailed yesterday about the extreme MAGA platform the House GOP has said they will try to inflict on the American people.
I think I’ve made it clear where I stand on that. But, like I’ve said before, leadership isn’t just fighting against bad things. It also means fighting for policies that will help our community and our country.
I’m going to spell out exactly what the House GOP wants to do, and how my vision for our future is different. But first, if you feel as strongly as I do that we need to change the House’s far-right direction, I hope you’ll pitch in just $5 to my campaign — so that I can not only win here in CO-07, but help take back the House majority for Democrats.

The new House GOP platform calls for banning abortion nationwide. I’m fighting to restore Roe v. Wade protections nationwide — so that every American can decide for themselves whether to start a family, without a politician making that choice for them.
The new House GOP platform calls for raising the Social Security retirement age. I will never back any proposal that reduces seniors’ hard-earned benefits. Instead, we need to make sure every hardworking American can enjoy a healthy, dignified retirement.
The new House GOP platform calls for gutting funding for the Affordable Care Act. I’m fighting to expand access to high-quality, affordable health care — and I’ve introduced bipartisan legislation to help people access mental health care and substance use disorder treatment.
The new House GOP platform calls for rolling back access to free school lunches for kids from low-income families. I can’t believe anyone — let alone hundreds of Republican members of Congress — is seriously proposing this. I think it’s outrageous, and instead, I’m fighting to provide more resources to public schools so that every kid gets the great education they deserve. And if you’ve ever met a child, let alone raised one, you know we can’t expect kids to learn if they’re chronically hungry.
The new House GOP platform would criminalize IVF. I’m fighting to defend against this outrageous intrusion into Americans’ personal freedoms. When, whether, and how you become a parent is between you, your family, and your doctor. Period.
This election, we face a stark choice. Either we let MAGA Republicans get the power to reduce health care access, gut retirement benefits, and take away our rights, or we fight back and fight for policies that will expand freedom and opportunities for people in Colorado and across the country.
I know which of those two options I support. If you’re with me, I’d love to have your support. Here’s a link to pitch in a few dollars to this fight if you’re able:
