I’ve been proud to work alongside this small team of committed staff on the Jill Stein 2024 campaign for ten long weeks now. We work around the clock organizing volunteers, communicating with supporters, and planning media coverage and events to ensure Jill gets in front of as many diverse audiences as possible to share the message that a better world and a new day are possible. 

Earlier this month we completed a 3-week tour of 15 states that took Jill from her homebase in Boston to states throughout the Mountain West and West Coast to Appalachia and the Great Lakes. On that tour we met with the Muslim community, students, healthcare workers, and with the town of East Palestine, Ohio where residents to this day suffer devastating health impacts from the completely avoidable train derailment and chemical spill on Feb. 3 2023.

We embarked on that road trip because we wanted to show people - real working class people, not lobbyists or investors - that we are here for them now, and when Jill is elected.

Just recently we hit our targets to file for federal matching funds so that $250 of every person’s contribution will be matched by the federal government. And in addition to the 19 states we already had a ballot line in, we have added Hawaii, West Virginia, and Idaho. 

But here we are looking at the wall in front of us, and it’s time to face reality. It’s time for the big ask. We need 300 people to max out primary contributions to us, and we need them to do it now.

We have critical ballot access needs directly ahead. The New York State legislature set the bar to ballot access almost impossibly high for third parties.

In addition to this, Illinois, Indiana and Georgia all have high barriers to entry, and there are deadlines looming. We have been messaging furiously that we are on track to be on the November ballot in all 50 states, but whether we can continue that messaging all depends on the fundraising we are able to do over the next two months.

We need to raise $100,000 by the end of March. 

We need to raise another $500,000 by the end of April.

And another $500,000 by the end of May.

If we can’t do that, we will not hit the mark in at least one of these states, and we’ll have to be strategic about one(s) we let go.

But I’m confident people will step up to support the only pro worker, pro climate action, anti genocide campaign that will (regardless) be on most people’s ballots in November.

The deck has always been stacked against insurgent movements that challenge the status quo. The parties of war and Wall Street are grandfathered onto your ballots, even though a whopping two-thirds of voters are clamoring for better options.

Think about what Day One of a Stein presidency would mean:

• An immediate end to the funding of genocide
  
  
• An immediate declaration of climate emergency and a full scale mobilization to end fossil fuel and transition to renewable and sustainable energy
  
  
• An immediate pardon for Julian Assange
  
  
• An immediate end to cannabis as a Schedule 1 drug and a commutation of sentences for nonviolent cannabis offenses.
  
  
• An immediate order to publish the Equal Rights Amendment.

The list of Day One presidential actions goes on and on.

This movement represents the biggest challenge to corporate hegemony in our lifetimes. We want to mobilize everyone who is demanding better from their government. 

WE CAN DO IT!

But the real work starts here and now, with everyone contributing as much as they are able to, and for 300 supporters to dig deep and give that maximum primary contribution of $3300.
