Dear John,
The New York Times has recently reported the Democratic
Party's efforts to restrict ballot access for third-party presidential
candidates.
We are not taken aback by the
establishment's maneuvers to thwart the participation of third-party
and independent grassroots candidates in the electoral process. Unlike
our adversaries, our campaign is devoid of super PAC backing and
corporate sponsorship.
Instead, we are powered by a
genuine movement of the people, which evidently poses a significant
enough threat to provoke such tactics.
The irony of a party, self-proclaimed guardians of
democracy, working to eliminate third-party participation in the
electoral process cannot be overstated.
|
Our campaign believes in
the sanctity of the electoral process and the right of every citizen
to have their voice heard through a fair election.
This pattern of behavior is not
new, but a continuation of a disconcerting trend aimed at
consolidating power by any means necessary, reminiscent of past
actions to manipulate the electoral process against candidates like
Bernie Sanders.
Such actions are not only
anti-democratic but also indicative of a deeper systemic issue within
the current political system, where the interests of the few are
prioritized over the fundamental rights of the many.
The effort to limit ballot access,
under whatever pretext, is a direct assault on these principles, more
damaging to the fabric of our democracy than any alleged external
threats.
|
The suppression of voter choice, especially under the guise
of legal challenges, reveals a troubling inclination towards
authoritarianism that we vehemently oppose.
We stand in opposition to the
establishment and advocate for the dismantling of the two-party system
that perpetuates corporate greed, spreads hate, and misinformation,
promoting division among us.
Our movement seeks to unite rather
than divide, aiming to overthrow the interests of the wealthy elite
that have profited immensely at the expense of the working class,
particularly during times of
crisis.
|
In the face of these
challenges, we remain morally and ethically consistent.
Our volunteer base is fully
informed and undeterred by these revelations. We are committed to
continuing our fight for a more inclusive, just, and loving society.
Our campaign, inspired by brother
West's vision and REVOLUTION LOVE, represents a diverse coalition of
individuals united in their pursuit of truth, justice, and love.
We invite you to join with
us.
In Solidarity,
Dr. Cornel West 2024 Independent
