I’m sure by now you’ve heard that on Tuesday, the Supreme Court heard another case that will have a major impact on abortion access across the country. This time, the Court heard a case about restricting access to mifepristone, a medication that is used in over half of abortions in America. If the Court decides like it has in past abortion cases, it would make it substantially harder to receive necessary reproductive healthcare.

We’ve seen this Court’s aggressive anti-abortion stance before in Dobbs, and it has fundamentally altered healthcare for millions in this country. From the families having IVF access restricted in Alabama to women being forced to flee Texas to end a dangerous pregnancy, we’ve seen the fallout from this far-right Court for years now. It’s sick: people are being forced to go to the courts for approval to end a pregnancy, even when their lives are in danger.

Restricting abortion access puts people in dangerous situations and if the Supreme Court upholds this decision, more people will be put in harm's way. Finally, after decades of conservative mega-donor influence, the far right has eviscerated one of our most fundamental rights: the right to choose.
