In 2022 the GOP threw all of it’s weight into flipping a New York Democratic stronghold: NY-04.
They blanketed the airwaves with fearmongering ads saying that crime was skyrocketing and that New York was under attack. NYC conservative TV and Radio ran with nonstop blood and guts headlines. And Trump along with the GOP nominee for this district, Anthony D’Esposito, a crooked NYPD cop, echoed the fake crime messaging while offering themselves as the solution.
The Democrats who had held the seat since 1997 were caught off guard and the GOP disinformation campaign paid off. The Republicans managed to flip the seat even though the district's voters went massively for Biden 2020.
We can’t afford to be caught asleep in this critical district again and we are starting our push NOW.
This Sunday is our first FEC deadline of the year and we can’t afford to cede any ground to the GOP - we need to put up strong numbers to show the media, our opponent, and Democratic voters & donors that we are here for a fight.
