Hey John,
We’ve been cooking up a new campaign for the past six months. And this time, we're on the offense. Join us in calling for the FTC to launch a new National Do Not Call Registry—this time, for data brokers.
We want a one-click opt out for all of our loved ones to get their personal information like their home address, cell phone number, and more taken down from data broker sites permanently. And, we think we’ve got what it takes to make it happen. Will you join us in calling on the FTC to launch an opt out for data brokers?

Data brokers are making, as a fellow activist recently said to us, “more money than god” with our private information. They get it from everything we do: the apps and websites we use, social media, rental, mortgage, and banking applications, and more.1 Then they sell our data to anyone who wants to pay, even offering some of it for free to lure in customers without anyone’s consent.2 To top it off, they make it almost impossible to opt out of. 3
We’ve known for over 25 years4 that the non-consensual business models of data brokers that monetize all our private info on the front page of Google are dangerous. Yet our government has done almost nothing to give everyday people the right to feel safe in the privacy of our homes. The first best time for government action against data brokers was a quarter century ago. The next best time is today.
So take two minutes and sign on now to tell the FTC that you want an opt-out from data brokers!
For basic human rights like being left the heck alone,
Lia at ❤️Fight
