John,
As a Physician-Legislator, I will always fight for the health and well-being of our community. Just in the past week, I’ve continued that fight in Harrisburg and wanted to share with you some of the successes we’ve had.
This week, my bill, HB 1869, to guard against accidental food allergen exposures in restaurants to keep customers safe and healthy passed with bipartisan support in the State House.
The Health Committee also passed the bipartisan legislation I co-prime sponsored, HB 1633, to get rid of non-compete clauses in health professionals’ contracts that currently prevent patients from seeing doctors of their choice.
Below, you’ll see a photo of my speaking with fellow health professional legislators on the importance of preserving the Affordable Care Act. |
I’m fighting for affordable and accessible healthcare for all Pennsylvanians, but this is only possible with the tenuous majority we currently hold in the House. The stakes are high for my being able to continue this important work of protecting the health and well-being of our community. Can you chip in $25, $50, $100, or more today to help me meet my end of quarter fundraising deadline?
Together, we can make affordable and accessible healthcare the norm and not the exception it too often is today. Sincerely,
Rep. Arvind Venkat, MD |
