Team,
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to speak with WHYY about the mifepristone case before The Supreme Court, and the importance of continuing to fight for stronger protections for our reproductive rights.
This case is the most important abortion case that’s come before The Supreme Court since the Dobbs decision, and its impact will affect every part of our country.
Unlike Dobbs which paved the way for states to implement their own restrictions on reproductive care, this decision would create a federal prohibition on access to mifepristone. Mifepristone is a commonly used, safe, and FDA-approved medication that has been used for decades, and the attempt to outlaw it in the courts is a blatant move by anti-choice groups to further their radical agenda.
As a lifelong advocate for reproductive rights, this case highlights for me the importance of the work we’re doing here in the PA legislature. My Democratic colleagues and I have been fighting relentlessly to expand access to reproductive healthcare and bolster the protections in place for patients and doctors alike.
This is a key election year where we need to elect Democrats up and down the ballot to keep our fight going strong in the Commonwealth. Grassroots support from people like you who share our commitment to a more just future are how we win, one contribution at a time.
So – will you work with us today to protect reproductive rights in Pennsylvania? Chip in $17 or any other amount to help elect Democrats up and down the ballot: [link removed]
Truly grateful for your support,
Amanda
