John, This time of the year, many North Carolinians are focused on basketball scores. And while we at NCLCV appreciate March Madness, we are focused on a different kind of score – one that scores votes to protect our environment and democracy. Since 1999, NCLCV has consistently released a scorecard – our primary tool for evaluating and reporting on support or opposition by elected officials on environmental issues. We just released our 2023 edition and you can see how your legislator did here. Our Scorecard includes environmental and democracy adversaries and champions. We recognize our champions in the Scorecard and will gather to celebrate them on Wednesday, May 22 at our annual Green Tie Awards. The Green Tie Awards give us an opportunity to gather and celebrate work that leads to clean air, clean water, and clean energy for ALL North Carolinians - especially people of color and people with low-income. Our Scorecard shows how your legislators really voted. Your support helps us keep you informed. Please join us to support and celebrate our champions at the Green Tie Awards. And if you can’t join us for the Green Tie, please consider making a contribution.
