Dear John,
Experiences in the Boundary Waters can be transformative, and that’s true especially for youth at the many camps and access programs in our region that focus on taking young people of all backgrounds, from across the country, on Wilderness canoe trips.
Young people often come back from these trips transformed and in awe of natural landscapes, wanting to do more to protect the Wilderness they love. Our Kids for the Boundary Waters program brings these young people into the conservation movement , providing training, leadership, and advocacy experience as these youth become powerful and effective advocates for the Wilderness, the planet, and issues they care deeply about.
By giving today, you are investing in the future of conservation for the Boundary Waters. Right now, every gift made will be doubled up to $50,000 to support this program.

To date, our youth-led Kids for the Boundary Waters groups have organized hundreds of kids from Minnesota and across the country to go on multi-day “fly-ins” to Washington D.C. and meet directly with decision makers. One member of Congress called Kids for the Boundary Waters the most effective lobbying group in D.C.(!)
Next week, Kids for the Boundary Waters is hosting our first ever Youth Advocacy Day at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, to meet face-to-face with legislators about two pro-Boundary Waters bills at the state level to protect the Wilderness from copper mining. And this fall, we are planning another of our nationwide Kids for the Boundary Waters fly-ins to Washington, D.C. to meet with national leaders.
As adults, we must show that we care deeply about the future, the chance for kids today and in the future to experience the wild outdoors like we have, and take the steps now to protect the ecosystems that keep our planet healthy and resilient.
Consider the next generation of Boundary Waters defenders and donate today. Your gift will be doubled up to $50,000 to support our important conservation work.
