I'm Herb Jones, and I'm running as a Democrat for Virginia's First Congressional District. I am running because I believe it's time for real change and progress in our communities. I've spent my life serving our country in the U.S. Army, building my small businesses, and advocating for important causes. Now, I want to take that experience to Congress to fight for you.

 

Unlike my opponent, Rob Wittman, I'm committed to delivering results that matter to everyday Virginians. Here are just a few reasons why I believe I'm the better choice:

 

  • Reproductive Freedom: I will always stand up for the right to make healthcare decisions, including access to reproductive services and contraception.

  • Gun Violence Prevention: We need common-sense gun safety measures to keep our families and communities safe. I will work to enact responsible gun laws that protect our Second Amendment rights while keeping firearms out of the wrong hands.

  • Investing in Education: Every child deserves a quality education. I will fight for increased funding for public schools, better teacher pay, and expanded access to higher education and vocational training.

  • Protecting Voting Rights: Our democracy depends on fair and accessible elections. I will work to ensure that every eligible voter can cast their ballot without barriers or discrimination.
