John,
It's disgusting; thanks to Putin's barbaric invasion of Ukraine, oil
companies made a record profit – a quarter of a trillion dollars – in
2022.
45,000 people dead, thousands of children abducted...but enormous
dividends for shareholders of BP, Shell, Exxon, Chevron, and Total, and
bumper bonuses for top execs!
At this point, we shouldn't be surprised. But with elections from the US
to the UK and EU coming up fast, we have a once-in-a-generation chance to
transform our outrage into political change by making Big Oil greed and
destruction THE issue politicians worldwide feel they need to address to
win our votes.
With thousands of donations from Ekō members we can unleash an ads and
advocacy blitz, and coupled with massive public pressure, we can put Big
Oil's disgusting business model in the spotlight, all year,
everywhere. Will you chip in to stand up to Big Oil CEOs?

Putin's war has meant death and destruction in Ukraine, and forced us all
to live under threat of a global war. It also sent energy prices
skyrocketing, leaving people across Europe struggling to feed their
families and heat their homes. But for shameless oil execs, it delivered a
bonanza year. Exxon's CEO got a 52% pay bump, to $35.9 million
USD...congrats, Darren!
We were built to take on this kind of sick greed. If we raise enough, we
can:
* Make the CEOs of BP, Shell, Chevron, ExxonMobil and Total so toxic
that politicians will be terrified to be seen backing them – we’ll
hound these execs at public appearances, call them out in the media
and splash their faces on billboards.
* We’ll make political leaders feel the heat over their cosy
relationship with Big Oil, mobilising our community in key election
races and force them to scrap lucrative tax breaks and loopholes.
* Organise employees and investors to create disruption and friction on
the inside of these companies. We’ll stoke a staff and investor
rebellion so that execs are playing defence inside their four walls,
not just in the court of public opinion.
Only by forcing politicians to stand up to these climate criminals can we
hope to build a sustainable and just future. And with so many elections
this year in countries where these companies are headquartered, there has
never been a better chance to make governments sit up and listen.
Can you chip in now to stop Big Oil?

Public rage is growing at this dirty industry that generates obscene
profits while everyone else pays a terrible price. But with some of the
most pivotal elections on the cards, we can pressure political leaders to
stop doing Big Oil’s bidding, and put people first!
2022 isn’t an anomaly. Big Oil has been profiting at everyone else’s
expense for decades. Crushing democratic opposition in Nigeria and
Ecuador; polluting delicate ecosystems in the rush to drill and carrying
on with business as usual as the world hurtles towards climate
catastrophe.
We were built for this. Ekō has taken on and scored massive wins before by
forcing political leaders to crack down on greedy corporations – from
lobbying European leaders to introduce tough new laws on Big Tech to
banning Big Ag’s toxic pesticide, glyphosate, from France and Germany. Now
let’s throw everything at them and rein in greedy oil companies for good.
