This is a difficult time for many — so please, only donate if you can afford to do so. Just knowing you opened this message means a lot to Tina and the rest of our team. Stay safe and take care of your loved ones.

Friend —

Thank you for staying in contact with our campaign during this unprecedented time. We appreciate your support more than you know, especially right now. Here’s why:

At midnight tonight, we will be closing the books on our very first FEC fundraising deadline of the year. That is when we will report exactly how many individual donors pitched in to our campaign and how much we raised.

Those numbers will be made public for everyone to see, including our opponent, Mitch McConnell, and yes, Donald Trump himself.

But our top priority is to keep our staff and supporters safe. That’s why our campaign is developing a new strategy to keep up with our ambitious goals by moving all of our fundraising online. It’s the right thing to do.

We understand how difficult it can be to donate right now, and we know you probably have a lot on your mind. But we’re asking you to chip in any amount you can afford before midnight — only if you are able.

The first FEC deadline of the year is at midnight — so if it makes sense for you financially, add a donation of any amount meaningful to you and get your name on our Q1 report. Please, only consider chipping in if you can afford it. Thank you for anything you can spare.

If you can’t donate today, that’s okay! The most important thing you can do right now is to take care of yourself and your loved ones.

Thanks for everything. Stay safe and healthy.

— Team Tina
