Friend,

We know you’re likely sick of hearing Donald Trump’s name by now – but please read this if you can, because it’s important.

Recently, Donald Trump was asked in an interview about Social Security and Medicare, and he responded that he is open to cutting both programs.

That’s what the stakes of this November’s election are: whether or not we protect programs like Social Security and Medicare that provide a dignified retirement for millions and millions of Americans.

If you have a minute, please add your name to this petition to protect Social Security and Medicare: [link removed]

It’s not just about what Donald Trump says – it’s about what he does, and we’ve already seen what he’ll do if he gets back into the White House. When he was President, his administration proposed huge cuts to Medicare and Social Security, primarily targeting disability benefits.

In contrast, President Biden and Vice President Harris just released a budget that takes important steps to preserve these programs. The Biden-Harris plan will give an additional $1.3 billion to the Social Security Administration to improve service delivery to Americans – and they’ve planned to keep these programs solvent by asking the highest-income Americans to pay their fair share.

This election is a choice: between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, and between protecting critical programs that millions of Americans rely on or gutting them.

Add your name now to stand with President Biden and support the protection of Social Security and Medicare: [link removed]

And please – talk to your friends and family about the stakes of this election. It’s up to all of us.
