California’s primary was on March 5th - and based on the initial results that came in, we were feeling confident that Josh squeaked by with the majority of the votes.

However, the rest of the votes are in and it didn’t go how we expected. Republicans made up ground and now have over 50% of the vote.

What does this mean? The good news is that Josh is still moving through to the general election. However, this should be a big warning sign for how tough our November election is going to be. Republicans are motivated to turn out. We HAVE to make sure Democrats feel the urgency or else we will lose.

The truth is: We have our work cut out for us in California’s 9th district. More Republicans turned out than Democrats. Trump clearly got his supporters energized to vote - and they happily cast their ballots for our extreme MAGA opponent.
