Hey friend -
I am reaching out to you from the steps of the US Supreme Court today. We are here to rally as SCOTUS hears oral arguments in 'FDA v Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine.' The outcome of this court decision could cause harm to young people in every single state in this country by limiting access to mifepristone - a safe, effective medication abortion pill that has been used by over 5 million people and has a higher safety record than Tylenol. |
The fact that mifepristone's FDA approval is up for debate is another egregious attempt by institutions to control our decisions about our bodies. Too often, we aren’t included in political decisions and conversations about issues that affect OUR bodies, OUR lives, and OUR families. But we're not standing by silently - that's why we're here today. Chip in now to show your support>>
90% of 18-30 year old voters say they do not want to see the right to abortion threatened, according to our newly released 2024 Young People's Policy Agenda. If mifepristone’s FDA approval is revoked, young people, BIPOC and low-income folks in the South and Midwest will be the most impacted by lack of access to abortion care, surveillance, criminalization, and prosecution. We are collectively calling for legislators to ensure medication abortion care is available and accessible for anyone who needs it. Chip in to show your support>>

This is not the future young people want. We saw #YoungPeoplePower in the past two elections — as young people in Kansas and Ohio took action by volunteering for and voting en masse on ballot initiatives to ensure the right to abortion is free from political interference. We saw #YoungPeoplePower in GA Advocacy Day this month, and in April we are bringing it to Alabama! |
We envision a world where we can live with justice, love freely, express our gender and sexuality without stigma, and define and create families of our choosing. We can't do it without your support. Fuel the flames for change>> In solidarity, |
