Last week, Justice Democrats Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — who has long raised the alarm about AIPAC's threat to our democracy — joined our movement to Reject AIPAC from the Democratic Party.

She then gave a powerful speech on the U.S. House floor calling the situation in Gaza what it is: genocide.

AOC called on President Biden to halt weapons transfers to Israel and voted against the spending bill that cut UNRWA funding (Palestinians’ largest source of humanitarian aid) through 2025 and granted $3.8 billion to the Israeli military.

Governments, international aid organizations, and U.S. officials have made it clear that the Israeli government is intentionally blocking aid to more than 1 million starving people, creating a forced famine. Like AOC told CNN’s Jake Tapper, “The actions of Hamas should not be tied to whether a three-year-old can eat.”

What we’re witnessing is collective punishment, and AOC isn’t standing for it.

Just like the NRA wants Congress to continue allowing the mass shootings of children in schools and people in communities across the United States for the sake of gun lobby profits, AIPAC wants Congress to continue enabling the death and destruction of Palestinians all on the U.S. taxpayer’s dime.

The right-wing mega donor-funded lobby group has committed $100 million to try and remove AOC and the rest of the Squad from Congress this year because of their moral courage to stand up for human rights. We can’t let them succeed.
