Victory! The Most Significant Climate Rule in U.S. History
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced last week that it will dramatically strengthen emissions standards for passenger cars and trucks – a major win that will protect our air and climate from toxic pollution. When advocates like you speak out, our leaders listen. Now is the time to keep this progress going and demand even more concrete action to reduce carbon emissions even further.
Tell Congress: Increase funding for affordable, quality public transportation nationwide to reduce toxic vehicle emissions and protect public health.

Don't Let Corporations Give More Money to Fossil Fuels
Right now some of the world's largest corporations are preparing to vote on proposals that will decide which fossil fuel projects get funded and then built in the year ahead. These corporations’ funds are often managed by state treasurers and pension boards, who answer to everyday people like you. Your voice is crucial in pressuring corporate decisions towards climate-friendly solutions.
Act Now: Tell your state pension fund to vote for climate action, NOT more fossil fuel destruction.

Urgent: Running Out of Time to Save a Critical Wildlife Refuge
One of the country's largest freshwater ecosystems is on the verge of disaster in Georgia as a mining corporation prepares to move ahead with dangerous mining in its ecologically vibrant wetlands. If it succeeds, the project will contaminate the local fresh water supply and destroy vital habitats that are home to black bears and threatened species like the gopher tortoise and gopher frog.
Save the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge before it's too late – tell the Georgia Environmental Protection Division to deny mining permits immediately.

New York's Offshore Wind Victory Will Blow You Away
The country's first commercial offshore wind farm became fully operational this month. Twelve turbines located off the coast of Long Island are now generating enough electricity to power more than 70,000 homes! The South Fork Wind wind farm is a landmark step in our nation's path to sustainability – but future projects like this are at risk if we let the fossil fuel industry pour millions of dollars into misinformation campaigns about clean energy.
Fight back against fossil fuel lies: Tell state leaders we want more support for offshore wind and renewable energy.

Animals are Flexible. What About People?
It’s easy to get caught up in our human-centered daily lives – so when deer munch on our carefully cultivated gardens or a coyote dines on an unleashed chihuahua, it may feel like a shocking clash of worlds. But making efforts to coexist and share our ecosystems can be beneficial to humans and animals alike.
Learn more about communities across the U.S. where locals are working to ensure that people and animals thrive side by side.

A Scientist Fired for Climate Activism – She’s Still Fighting Back
With a warm smile and glasses, Rose Abramoff doesn’t look like a troublemaker – but in 2022 she became one of a handful of federal scientists to lose their job because of their climate change activism. “I’m all for decorum,” she says, “but not when it will cost us the earth.”
Read more about Abramoff’s journey as an activist and how she’s harnessing nonviolent direct action to drive change.
