There are government lies. . .

And then there are lies, wrapped in falsehoods, based on hoaxes,
wrapped in blankets of disinformation.

Sometimes, Swamp Creatures in D.C. insist they need to deprive
you of your constitutionally guaranteed, God-given freedom . . .
for your safety.

They boldly admit they're infringing on your rights!

But it's much more insidious when they don't even admit they're
assaulting your rights-because they have some absurd false
narrative for what they're actually doing.

That's how Washington Swamp operatives were able to ram the
so-called "TikTok ban" bill through the U.S. House of
Representatives in a legislative blitzkrieg. . .

. . . before American citizens even knew of the bill, let alone
the implications of this massive assault on both freedom of
speech and freedom of commerce using China as an excuse.

They basically said, "vote yes, or we're going to label you a
Chinese asset."

At the end of the day, Congress voted to give the U.S. president
the power to remove any website, computer or mobile application,
or even service provider the president determines - without due
process - is run by "a person subject to the direction of control
of a foreign person or entity" as long as that foreign person or
entity is declared an "adversary" of the U.S.

And who gets to decide who is an "adversary"? The President.

This bill was passed under the auspices of your private
information was being given to the Chinese government by TikTok.
But the bill advocates don't seem to have a problem with your
personal and private information being sold every day by other
social media outlets, your cell phone provider, or your cable
company.

As one author put it, "It's not that the U.S. government wants to
protect you from spying and data theft and manipulation. No, the
people behind the Russian collusion hoax, and the Kavanaugh hoax,
and the natural origin COVID hoax, and the illegal warrantless
spying, and the forced transing of your children-they want to be
the ones spying on you and stealing your data and poisoning the
minds of your children."

Patriot, the last time they tried this "TikTok ban" play - a bill
called the RESTRICT Act - we defeated them, thanks to the
pushback from patriots like you.

The RESTRICT Act would have utterly shut down free speech on the
Internet altogether. And you and I defeated it!

Now, they've brought the same covert operation back in disguise.

Here's what this bill actually does:

>>> It orders a company (among the most popular companies in
America, with 170 million American users) to be sold, or they
will be banned.

>>> It puts any other company with ties to currently disfavored
foreign countries in the same jeopardy - it doesn't JUST target
TikTok!

>>> It gives the president - current or future - the authority to
unilaterally decide what communications platforms will be banned!

The truth is the statists in D.C. are not trying to protect you
and me from malign actors overseas. . .

. . . They are moving to fully control the narrative. And in
doing so, the speech rights of every single American will be
decimated.

Any member of Congress who would support this bill is a disgrace.


The enforcement provision of this bill isn't against TikTok -
it's against Google, Apple, and other app stores. In other words,
American companies will be drafted to be enforcers of these
international sanctions and they will be punished by the U.S.
government for not serving as its agent.

The same politicians pushing this anti-speech legislation have
done NOTHING to stop federal bureaucrats from illegally spying on
you and me when American companies - social media companies like
Facebook, your cable provider, your cell phone company - sell
your private data to them.

This is also a special interest deal for competing American Big
Tech companies like Google and Facebook, whose hatred of
liberty-minded American principles and censorship of dissent is
well documented.

In an official email, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA)
called the outpouring of opposition to this bill, which
overwhelmed congressional phone lines, a "national security
concern."

He implied Americans calling in opposition to the bill were
victims of foreign propaganda!

Patriot, when our elected representatives accuse their own
constituents of lacking self-agency for contacting them, we have
a serious problem.

We at Campaign for Liberty will not be bullied, browbeaten, or
smeared in defense of our rights as Americans to oppose
dangerous, censorious legislation.

To date, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) hasn't given

It's very possible Schumer will wait for an opportunity to tie
this bill to more money for the war in Ukraine.

This bill sailed through the irresponsible House, but the U.S.
Senate is getting pressured from both sides. We need to make our
voice as loud as possible.
