The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the cracks in our foundation -- from our social safety nets to our national and state leadership.
You have a chance in 2020 to use your voice and repair those cracks. We are far from out of the woods of this pandemic, and we need leaders who are ready to face these new challenges on day one.
When I was in the Pentagon on 9/11, a plane crashed right down the hall from my office. The next day, 5,000 of my colleagues and I went right back to work in a building that would burn for four more days. We had a job to do, and American families were depending on us. Today, our nation is now facing another 9/11, and I won’t back down from the opportunity to keep Texans safe.
In order to do that, I’ve got to make it through this next hurdle. The first fundraising deadline of the runoff is at midnight tonight, and we need to show that this campaign is strong.
My team tells me that we’re just $3,289 short of our quarter goal, but what I really want to see is how many donors have stepped up and given to this campaign. Grassroots power is how we won the primary election by 11 points, and it’s how we’re going to win the runoff.
Now, our records show you haven’t yet donated this year, so can you chip in today to be one of our 2020 grassroots supporters and help us make up this ground? Every single dollar helps!
