Kindness is power

Hi there, I know there’s a lot going on in the world right now. (Sometimes it feels like a win just to get the coffee maker turned on, you know?)

That’s why I wanted to pass along some truly great news—because we all need some of that to get through the doom and gloom.

Animals don’t always get the attention they deserve—especially the animals trapped in our broken food system.

But when they do, that’s something worth celebrating.

When this community got involved, it took less than three weeks for three major hotels—Hilton, Louvre, and Meliá—to share what they’re doing to spare every single hen in their supply chains from brutal cages.

These are luxury resorts with locations around the world—from the southern coast of Spain to Park Avenue in New York City. All together, these corporations serve something like 285,000,000 eggs annually, which means there are 861,000 hens in their combined flock, laying multiple millions of eggs a year.

I’m so, so grateful to this community. We’re working towards a big goal: ending the abuse of animals raised for food. Ending cages is just the first step—but for the hundreds of thousands of individual hens at those hotels, progress like this is nothing short of life-changing.

KEEP CREATING CHANGE

So, wherever you are, whatever you might be holding right now, here’s to kindness—and what it can make happen in the world.
