Last week, we launched our Voter Vanguard campaign to provide pro bono opportunities for lawyers to defend our democracy, secure our elections, and advance the right to vote during the 2024 election cycle. 

Time and time again, lawyers have used their superpowers to protect and strengthen our democracy. Join the Voter Vanguard campaign and sign up to volunteer for other important projects below:

	1—5 HOURS Join We The Action’s Voter Vanguard We The Action In recent years, the right to vote has been under threat. Through our Voter Vanguard campaign, volunteers will be on the front lines of protecting voting rights and democratic institutions, advising on voter outreach efforts, representing election administrators, and working to restore voting rights to newly returned citizens. Lawyers may be barred in any state.
	6-10 HOURS Guidance on Providing Medical Devices to Patients and to Integrate the Data into a Registry Congenital Hyperinsulinism International Many people living with hyperinsulinism use continuous glucose monitoring devices to monitor blood sugar, but the devices aren't approved for this population. Through a grant, CHI will be able to give out these devices to the community. They need a lawyer to review a contract with the company donating devices, create informed consent documentation for participants, and help craft data agreements and review contracts with physicians. This is a remote project, and lawyers may be barred in any state.
	21+ HOURS Legal Assistance for Gene Therapy Clinical Trial Contracts and Compliance INADcure Foundation Because of the small patient population and barriers to treatment, the INADcure Foundation has decided to build its own gene therapy program. They are independently funding and sponsoring a gene therapy treatment with the goal of running a small clinical trial next year. They need legal counsel to help navigate the complex legal matters and responsibilities that come with being a clinical trial sponsor. This is a remote project, and lawyers may be barred in any state.
	1-5 HOURS Determine Requirements for Tax Filings Justice Technology Association Justice Technology Association brings together like-minded tech entrepreneurs in pursuit of equity in the justice system. They need a lawyer to review federal and North Carolina requirements for IRS filings in 2023 and 2024 in order to keep JTA in compliance so they can continue to support mission focused legal tech startups. This is a remote project, and lawyers may be barred in any state.
