It was truly an honor to have Vice President Harris herself stop by, chat with Parkland victims' families, and show her support for our school safety initiatives. Her visit underscores the significance of the new Office of Gun Violence Prevention and speaks volumes about the importance of our grassroots efforts at Parkland.

Folks, the reason the Vice President visited Parkland was because Stand With Parkland was instrumental in the creation of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA). Without our efforts and those of many other Americans who are sick and tired of seeing a child’s name in a headline about school violence, this wouldn’t have been possible.

We see Stand With Parkland’s DNA written into the BSCA. It contains our School Safety Triad, providing resources for school security and violence prevention, investing in mental health screening and support programs, and responsible firearm ownership.

Without it, we wouldn’t have the National 988 Suicide Prevention Lifeline, new states passing red flag laws, or more STOP School Violence Grant dollars.

But friend, there is still more work to be done.

The influx of attempts to roll back firearm violence preventions and the need to do more to make America’s schools safer means we need to be proactive and organized in our efforts. So please, [[link removed]] friend [[link removed]] , [[link removed]] will you make an investment in the strength of our movement today? [[link removed]]
