Friend,
Nevada is a state like no other.
Here’s some quick facts I find fascinating about the state I’m getting equipped to serve.
Over 80% of Nevada’s ENTIRE land is owned by the federal government - the highest percentage of any state in the nation.
Nevada is the 7th largest state by area, yet has only just over 3 million people total. Compared with neighboring California that has nearly 40 million (more than the population of ALL of CANADA), this just shows how sparsely populated Nevada is.
And Nevada has more mountain ranges than ANY state in the country.
All that is to say, Nevada is one of the HARDEST states to campaign in.
The drive itself between Las Vegas and Reno is over 400 miles, takes over 7 hours and consists almost entirely of rural highways through the beautiful Nevada desert.
In Biden’s economy, with gas prices that have remained sky-high since the end of the COVID pandemic, this makes it that much more difficult - The average throughout the state is now up to $4.19, 75 cents more than the national average!
And then there’s food, materials for campaign events, lodging costs, etc…the list goes on and on. And with the average price of consumer goods going up about 6% every year under Biden’s presidency, this trend doesn’t seem to be heading in the right direction.
I’ve got a duty to make sure I’m listening to Nevadans all across the state talk about the issues that matter to THEM.
My mission is to serve and represent ALL Nevadans in Washington, but I’m going to need your help to reach every corner of the state.
So that being said, would you please consider chipping in to help me be able to effectively continue my campaign until November?
I know times are tough, but any amount you can contribute will help out.
Thank you,
Sam Brown
