D.C. Residents, please join the JCRC of Greater Washington, ADL Washington and AJC Washington in urging D.C. Councilmembers to resist introduction of an immediate ceasefire resolution.
We strongly believe the D.C. Council should spend its time on critical issues facing residents: curbing gun violence, expanding access to affordable housing and food, improving educational outcomes and reducing health disparities. Radical anti-Israel agitators are instead disrupting Council hearings and preventing the normal functioning of government that provides needed services to residents.
A ceasefire resolution would do nothing to advance peace abroad and would only inflame tensions in the District. We have seen many public hearings on ceasefire resolutions in other cities have laid bare disturbing anti-Jewish rhetoric at a time of unprecedented antisemitism.
Let the D.C. Council know that you strongly support their stance thus far and urge them to stay the course in refusing to introduce a ceasefire resolution that would divide the community. Please click here to make your voices heard.
