*"DanceABLE [ [link removed] ]"*?is an all-ages, access-centered dance event happening Saturday April 13th at the Museum?of?Flight, where the core audience is Deaf or Hard?of?Hearing.?
Expanding c89.5's?"Dance 4 All"?inclusivity initiative in partnership with Seattle Children?s Childhood Communication Center, The Museum?of?Flight, 4Culture, Pacific Science Center and?Not Impossible Labs [ [link removed] ], 150 passholders from the?D/HH?community?will get?free access?to experience dance music like never before, with wearable technology that?s programmed live to translate beats, instruments and voices onto the skin through haptic vibration. Augmenting the Museum's already super-cool?annual Yuri's Day party [ [link removed] ], c89.5 will be on site broadcasting live and hosting sets from 2 DJ's, including c89.5 program alum and wheelchair user D-Double-J, and headlining hitmaker?Anabel Englund [ [link removed] ]?who will really bring the heat. A team of ASL interpreters will play a vital role in the event, including the co-emcee?and hosts?of?various stations throughout the event to ensure accessibility and education for all attendees.?

*Who We Are:*?The Office of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ODHH) provides programs and services for Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened, and Speech Disabled individuals, their families, and service providers in Washington State.?
*What We Do:*?ODHH operates under the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) and is entrusted with fulfilling its legislative mandate outlined in RCW 43.20A.725. ODHH?s work includes:
_Advocacy_: ODHH advocates for the rights, interests, and needs of individuals who are Deaf, DeafBlind, Deaf Disabled, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened, and Speech Disabled. The Office works to eliminate communication barriers and promote equal opportunities in various service areas, including training, consultation, contract management, information and referrals, and resources to promote communication equity.
_Coordination:_?ODHH is a centralized resource. The Office collaborates with governmental, business, and community stakeholders to develop and implement policies, programs, and initiatives that address and ensure that state services and resources are accessible and inclusive to all Washingtonians.
