The call for white people to “do the work” is a serious
one. Not just because of the historical and present, pervasive
and persistent, embodied and systemic impact of white supremacy
on Black and Brown people, but because it threatens our
democracy, our planet and our humanity as a whole. White
supremacy is bad for all of us.
Today we are embarking on UNLEARNING WHITENESS

, a weekend intensive designed for well-meaning white people who
are ready to heal from white supremacy, recover our whole selves
and find our right role in the collective movement for liberation
and wellbeing. Here's what Rev angel Kyodo williams has to say
about it:

Healing from white supremacy calls us to explore how we've
been shaped by toxic ideologies (ie: perfectionism,
individualism, control, scarcity) and what it's going to take to
heal our cultural wounds and transform into new ways of being.
UNLEARNING WHITENESS

is a community of practice for white people to support radical
inquiry, excavation and recovery. Through embodied
practice, embodied inquiry and courageous conversation, we will
explore how we got here, where we are situated in unequal
systems, how we’ve internalized dominant culture, what white
supremacy is costing us and what our right role/responsibility is
in getting free.
UNLEARNING WHITENESS SCHEDULE:
* Friday 3/22 7-9pm ET: What is “the work” for white people?
* Saturday 3/23 12-2pm ET: The practice of locating ourselves in
unequal systems
* Saturday 3/23 5-7 pm ET: Rooting out internalized supremacy
* Sunday 3/24 12-2pm ET: Reckoning with the cost of whiteness
* Sunday 3/24 5-7pm ET: On relational accountability with
special guest Rev. angel Kyodo williams
This program is open to the public and discounted for registrants
of Embodied Social Justice Certificate (ESJC)* All sessions will
be recorded.
*Embodied Social Justice Certificate is the most critical
education of these times" that goes beyond intellectual DEI and
ineffective workshops to disrupt patterns harm, bias and
breakdown in your body. Join a global cohort of change-makers for
a 3-month certificate program committed to collective liberation
by increasing awareness, unlearning oppressive social patterns,
