John,
I lead Washington Conservation’s Action talented, committed field team, and we’re already in the middle of a huge election year.
People power is central to our work. The voters and activists that our field team works with to speak up for Washington’s environment are often people whose health and wellbeing are being damaged by dirty air and water, heat waves, and other catastrophes brought about by irresponsible polluters.
Why? Because the people closest to these problems are those best suited to find solutions and to fight tirelessly for them.
But, John, it’s heartbreaking how pollution unevenly impacts communities of color, Tribal nations, and rural communities. I’m proud that WCA is dedicated to combating these disparities – in 2024 and beyond.
We’re working across Washington to add people power to the most urgent fights of our time. Fights for environmental justice, to improve air quality, prepare for wildfires, and push for toxic cleanup, so that everyone in our state thrives.
