The mission of Second Generation is to promote the political engagement of immigrant communities that have not been fully included in the political process where they live. As a Venezuelan immigrant, and an immigration attorney who has spent much of my career fighting for those who are often overlooked, I am proud to accept the endorsement of Second Generation.
Republicans, like Scott Perry, have created an immigration crisis to use it as a political talking point. In doing so, they are playing with the lives of real people, and they are putting our safety and security at risk.
We need organizations, like Second Generation to stand-up and highlight the important contributions that immigrants make to our country every day.
In Congress, I will use my experience and expertise to help fix our broken immigration system, solve the border crisis, and support immigrant communities in realizing their American Dream, while making our country even stronger.
