 Friend, I am proud to have won my primary election earlier this month, and I am overwhelmed that I have the support of 93% of this district. And I can tell you this: it wasn’t an accident. I have fought for this district in the House, I have worked to defend our integrity on the Oversight Committee, and I have made my positions clear on the issues that matter to Americans. I have stood up to Republicans propagating racist and sexist ideas, and I won’t back down when Republicans are spewing hateful lies. So it’s not a surprise that our campaign has garnered so much support: Texans are ready to fight back. Texans want to stand up to Republican bullies. And Texans want leaders who will do the same.
