OUR GUIDE TO GET YOU IN THE GAME!
John,
Earlier this month, we launched PROJECT LIBERTY ACTIVATION, a membership
and activism competition between county/regional affiliates of the
Libertarian Party.
Below is a guide to help get you started competing today:
1. SIGN UP AT LP.ORG/PLA [4] TODAY!
* Anyone can sign up for their county or regional affiliate. If you don't
have a local affiliate, you earn bonus points for a new affiliate by
starting one.
2. PUSH FOR MEMBERSHIP
* Reach out to your local affiliate members and make sure they are
dues-paying members of the national party. If they aren't, they can sign up
at LP.ORG/PLA [4] to get your affiliate points.
* Those who are already dues-paying members can earn their affiliate 5
points by starting a new monthly contribution of $10 or more at LP.ORG/PLA
[4].
3. GET ACTIVE LOCALLY
* Start attending local public meetings: town council, county
commissioners, school board, etc. While you are there, get a picture and
have your local affiliate post about your attendance using
#LIBERTYACTIVATED.
* You can get an extra point for speaking at the meeting. Have your
affiliate post a video, some audio, or your written statement
using #LIBERTYACTIVATED. More than one person from your affiliate can
attend and/or speak to earn points!
* There are also bonus point opportunities for earning media coverage and
effectively shaping local policy with your activism.
4. SPREAD THE MESSAGE
* By effectively using social media, local affiliates can be leading
voices on current issues in their area. Any local or localized post
using #LIBERTYACTIVATED will earn your affiliate points, and there are
bonus points for increased reach and performance of these posts.

While the competition is an added level of excitement, the main goal is to
get our local affiliates active in their communities, both spreading the
message and influencing local policy. This will help us identify winning
strategies that can be duplicated across the country.
