Yesterday, the head of the Border Patrol did an interview with CBS News. 

He called what’s happening at our southern border a “national security threat.” That’s putting it mildly. 

Hundreds of thousands of deportation cases have been thrown out, thanks to the Department of Homeland Security’s incompetence. 

The head of border patrol said that people from at least 160 countries have crossed our border illegally this fiscal year alone. And we know that many of them are from China, and many of them are military aged males. 

Perhaps most alarming— there have been 140,000 “gotaways,” meaning migrants who came through without being caught, this fiscal year alone. 

When I deployed to the border in the early days of the Trump administration, we made meaningful progress towards securing our border. 

President Biden has undone all of it. Something has to change.
