Support from independent donors enables us to provide this lifesaving care and to bear witness to the experiences and needs of our staff and patients. You make our work possible, and you allow us to remain independent in conflicts like these. That’s why I wanted to give you a sense of what my colleagues and I face on a typical day here in Gaza.

I’ll be honest: One of my greatest frustrations since arriving in Gaza is that, as an emergency room doctor, I was expecting to be able to go and work on the front lines to care for patients from mass casualty incidents. However, the constant, indiscriminate bombing has significantly constrained our humanitarian response. We can’t reach as many people as we would like to.
As healthcare professionals, we should not have to choose between our safety and caring for our patients. And we can’t allow the world to turn its back on Palestinians suffering right now in Gaza.
Our doctors and teams throughout the world need your support now more than ever. Support doctors and medical staff who are saving lives around the globe.
