Thank you for signing up to be notified when the Regulatory Compliance Division of the Office of the Governor commences a review of a proposed rule. Established pursuant to Subchapter C, Chapter 57, Texas Occupations Code, the Regulatory Compliance Division conducts an independent review of certain state agencies? proposed rules that affect market competition to assess their consistency with state policy as clearly articulated by the Legislature in state statute. The Regulatory Compliance Division has recently commenced review of and is currently accepting public comments on the following rules:
- ?Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner, Title 7 Texas Administrative Code ??83.503, 83.605, and 84.205. Public comments will be accepted through April 25, 2024.
The proposed amended rules adjust maximum administrative fees and acquisition charges for closing consumer loans and maximum documentary fees for motor vehicle retail installment transactions.
