Why do some people think that the vaccinated were outnumbering the unvaccinated during the summer of 2021 COVID surge?

Of course, the vaccinated ( [link removed] ) were doing much, much better in the summer of 2021!

At that time, almost all COVID deaths and severe infections were in those folks who weren't vaccinated.

[link removed] During the summer of 2021, it was clear that COVID was becoming a pandemic of the unvaccinated ( [link removed] ) , as almost all deaths were occurring in those who had not yet had a COVID vaccine.

And while folks like Mary Talley Bowden ( [link removed] ) try to rewrite history, it is plain to see that they were, and continue to be wrong.

And even as we did start to see some people who had been vaccinated with the primary series die as they got sick with a COVID variant ( [link removed] ) , it is still easy to see that those who are fully vaccinated have done overwhelming better than those who are unvaccinated.

In fact, if you received the primary series or original COVID vaccine and an updated COVID vaccine ( [link removed] ) , you were fourteen times less likely to die as compared to those who were unvaccinated!

It is apparent that everyone is reporting more COVID disease and death in those who were unvaccinated.

So how is it that for Mary Talley Bowden ( [link removed] ) , who has spoken out against COVID vaccines and pushed non-evidence based treatments for COVID, like ivermectin ( [link removed] ) , the "vaccinated were outnumbering the unvaccinated?"
