We at Team Jayapal have canceled all in-person campaign and fundraising events and are working remotely to prevent further spread of coronavirus. Our mission to re-elect Pramila and keep our progressive values in Congress continues online.

Team,

At the end of the quarter, we usually send out a few emails a day asking for grassroots donations to meet our fundraising goal. This time, we've held off -- with so many workers losing their jobs and their healthcare, the last thing folks need is a constant flood of fundraising emails.

The past few weeks, we've channeled most of our campaign resources into sending out COVID-19 updates and raising funds for organizations helping our neighbors impacted by this crisis the most. We aren't going to meet our original end-of-quarter fundraising goal, and we're OK with that -- helping working people and families through this crisis is more important than a single deadline.

Today, we're asking you to chip in whatever you can before midnight tonight to help fill in some of those fundraising gaps: [link removed] We don't need the kind of money some candidates get from corporate PACs -- just enough to keep our virtual campaign operations afloat, like these emails and upcoming online events, to reach as many progressive voters as possible.

This crisis is a reminder that the patchwork policies that leave so many without health care and fair wages have to go.

We don't need a major war chest to keep this movement going, but we do need grassroots donations to support our efforts while also offering assistance to the workers experiencing the worst of this crisis.

Please chip in whatever you can before midnight tonight to help fill in our fundraising gaps: [link removed]

Thanks for standing up for our movement.

Team Pramila
