March 1 feels like a lifetime ago, John.
You may remember that in honor of Women’s History Month, we set a $50,000 fundraising goal for March. After looking at our budget, this is how much we need to stay on track with our campaign plans leading up to the November 3rd election.
Understandably, our fundraising took a back seat as the COVID-19 crisis emerged, but our work only ramped up. Our team is working around the clock and it’s critical that we have the resources to respond to the COVID-19 crisis collectively and win in November.
There’s less than five hours left before midnight and we’re SO close to reaching our goal. Will you rush a donation of $5 or whatever you can to help us stay on track to defeat Trump in November?
We’re just $5,150 away from our goal and while that’s a large amount of money, we know we can reach it if everyone pitches in whatever spare change they have.
When this crisis began, Women’s March got to work addressing the urgent problems that have emerged from this pandemic. We took on Amazon’s pandemic profiteering and won, hosted four educational webinars so far, called out senators for insider trading around the pandemic, urged Congress to protect frontline nurses, and organized thousands to speak out for a bottom-up bailout. And we’re just getting started.
We know that a lot of people are struggling right now to make ends meet, and dealing with sickness and loss. The well-being and safety of everyone is the utmost concern of Women’s March during this crisis.
It’s crucial to take care of ourselves and our communities first and foremost – we only ask you to donate if you can afford to do so. Your activism and support means the most to us.
But if you’re able, now is an opportunity to come together to fight for justice for workers and families who are suffering the most at the hands of this pandemic.
Women’s March is committed to using the full power of our movement to hold companies and governments accountable and to fight for the bottom-up recovery measures we desperately need.
Can you chip in $5 or whatever you can to make sure that our government protects families and communities first – not billionaire CEOs?
We’re thankful to be in this with you.
