Years ago, I received a very valuable bit of wisdom: Focus on what you can control.

For me, that’s my attitude and my work ethic. Particularly when it comes to running for re-election in one of the toughest districts in the country.

My team and I can’t control who our opponents are or how many MAGA millions flood this race. We can control the number of doors we knock on, the efficacy of our strategy, and the strength of the connections we make.

I’ve learned that optimism and enthusiasm go a long way, even when the odds are stacked against you. 

If you’re wondering whether this logic really works or if it’s just a tired old cliché, well…we’ve beaten the odds here in NV-03 three times, and we’re on track to do it again this November. 

However, the fact is that keeping NV-03 blue will be challenging and expensive. All that door-knocking, strategizing, and mobilizing requires resources, after all.
