Friends,
Bob Lorinser here; Candidate for US Congress in Northern Michigan and the UP.
You and I both know it's time for politicians to stop using worthless rhetoric. For example, "We need 'access' to medical care." Everyone knows that. How are we going to get it done? (Pro-tip: Medicare for All)
Or, "We need to rein in worthless spending." Sure, Rep. Bergman. You find the specific programs you'd consider 'worthless' and explain to the public how they're causing a deficit.
So much of what comes out of a typical politician's mouth is just fluff; words are meaningless unless they have action, reason, or data behind them.
What I'm interested in is how we are going to get.things.done.
We need to start providing solutions.
That's why I am running for Congress — to amplify the voices of the people and offer tangible solutions and good legislation. I will work tirelessly on the issues that affect us all, like healthcare, childcare, public education, housing, labor reform, livable wages, climate change, etc.
But, I can't do it alone. To continue being outspoken and advocating for real change, I need you in my corner as soon as possible. Especially to close out our fundraising quarter; every dollar counts, and every contribution helps.
Together, we can fight poverty with Housing First solutions, strengthen public schools with investments in students, pay family-sustaining wages, fight for union protections and collective bargaining, expand pre-K, save Social Security by securing its solvency, and pass Medicare for All by getting a doctor in the House.
We can do it all by focusing on these real, achievable solutions with honesty and clarity. That's my approach. Because of it, and because of you, my campaign has never been stronger. You can help us keep it that way.
friends, I need you before the quarter closes to show that strength on our Q1 FEC report. Can you chip in tonight? Everything and anything helps.
Onward,
Bob Lorinser
Candidate for Congress
