John, we've got a big FEC end-of-quarter deadline coming up on Sunday, and before I ask for your help to reach our ambitious $750,000 goal, I want to explain what these public filing deadlines mean to our campaign.

Here's the truth: 

What we raise by midnight on March 31 will be a matter of public record for all the world to see – including Ted Cruz and his mega donors. Since this is the first FEC deadline of the general election, it's a huge opportunity to show the strength of our grassroots movement. 

Reaching these major quarterly goals will help my team and me plan our budget for the rest of the campaign. Hiring staff, getting ads on the air, traveling across Texas to connect with voters – your donations to emails like this one are how we help fund all that and more, John. This is how, together, we're going to combat Ted Cruz's massive war chest and send him packing in November.

That's why I'm personally asking:
