John,
Congress should be more concerned with our airplanes falling out of the sky than their portfolios falling in value — but, unfortunately, the latter is the reality we’re living in.
We know there’s a way to stop this. A bipartisan bill, the Ending Trading and Holdings in Congressional Stocks (ETHICS) Act has been introduced in the U.S. Congress. If passed, it will prohibit members of Congress, their spouses, and dependent minors from owning or trading securities, commodities, or futures. Since our last two training sessions, we’ve had three letters published in newspapers across the country! Your voice is being heard.
Here's everything you need to know to join:
When: 7pm ET / 4pm PT on Wednesday, March 27
Where: Right from your computer! RSVP here to get the Zoom info.
Why: To spread the word about the opportunity to pass the ETHICS Act to ban congressional stock trading.
It’s true that political corruption threatens far too many aspects of our lives, but RepresentUs has a plan to stop it. Momentum is growing to ban Congressional stock trading once and for all. Will you join the fight?
