Team — just over one year ago, House Republicans announced their list of top targets to flip in 2024. Pat was at the very top.

A lot has changed since then.

Elise Stefanik also named Pat as her top target and pledged to spend over $100 million in New York to prop up MAGA Republicans like Pat’s opponent, Alison Esposito.

After multiple, bitter rounds of infighting and chaos, Republicans elected a new MAGA House Speaker, Mike Johnson, and he quickly endorsed Esposito, too.

And just as we predicted, National Republicans began emptying their war chest against Pat earlier than they ever have — investing five figures in attack ads that began hitting voters in our district just weeks ago.

But when you really think about it, the fundamentals of this race are still the same.

The path to a Democratic House majority runs right through the Hudson Valley. This will still be the hardest seat to defend in New York this year. And National Republicans won’t stand a chance at winning if we continue hitting our goals and keeping up momentum.

It’s easy to get thrown off course in the rough and tumble of this election, but if we stay focused on the task at hand, we’ll win.
