Hello, Spring! We’re closing in on the final month of the first quarter of 2024, and what a March it has been for Vote Mama! Rather than necessarily celebrating the progress we’ve made towards women’s equality, we used this Women’s History Month as a solemn reminder of how our rights and reproductive freedoms are on the line, thanks to the anti-choice agenda of GOP extremists. This reignited the flame in us for the work we do and the moms we support. It made us even more revved up to LAUNCH our official Vote Mama PAC candidate endorsements this month, with a few more still to come!

Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to this March — and where we’ll need your continued support and advocacy to elect our pro-choice Democratic mamas!

2024 ENDORSEMENTS

This month, we rolled out our candidate endorsements for the 2024 election year! Check out who we've endorsed so far!

• Over 70 Candidates: Plus MORE exciting 2024 endorsements still to come!
• 27 Congressional Candidates: Including 11 who are in high-stakes red to blue races. We have a comprehensive strategy of both defending key Democratic seats, as well as flipping vulnerable Republican ones.
• Over 40 State Legislature Candidates in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania: Our targeted state strategy this year is to invest a dedicated portion of our resources to focusing on these 4 battleground states where we’ve identified the biggest threats of extremist attacks on abortion, schools, and equality — and the greatest chance for our mamas to win.

CANDIDATE & ALUMNAE SPOTLIGHTS

Now that we have officially endorsed these incredible mamas, we can start boosting their campaigns by highlighting some of the work they are ALREADY doing on the ground.

Here are a few of our endorsed mamas and proud alumnae who have jumped right into action to defend IVF and fight for reproductive justice:

State Senator Eva Burch in Arizona is running for re-election. Eva recently went viral in the media for the brave and compelling testimony she gave in front of the state legislature, sharing the very personal details of her own abortion experience. As a nurse practitioner, Eva also provided a much-needed medical science perspective of why access to reproductive freedom is dangerous and why anti-choice GOP rules go directly against medical advice, putting both service providers and patients in uncomfortable, difficult positions.
 

State Senator Erin Maye Quade was elected to the Minnesota State Senate last year, and has been a fierce pro-choice advocate and a champion for moms and our reproductive rights.The recent attacks on IVF have made her even more determined to pass her bill to require health insurers to cover IVF. The GOP has attempted to water down the legislation by requiring an official registry of everyone who has ever had fertility treatments, but Erin continues to fight back.
 

Senator Tammy Duckworth has called out Republicans for their hypocrisy when it comes to the growing restrictions on IVF in red states, and she has proposed federal legislation that would protect access for all families across the country to IVF. Although the GOP succeeded in blocking that legislation, Tammy isn’t giving up and is continuing to advocate for IVF, abortion, and reproductive freedom in front of the judiciary committee.

Our mamas are out there on the ground using their platforms and their voices to fight back against anti-choice attacks and to defend reproductive rights.
