Here at the Long Run, when we think of changemaking pro-democracy candidates, there is no better example than Andy.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Andy embodies the American dream. He’s the son of Korean immigrants, the product of New Jersey public schools, a public servant, husband, and proud dad.
Andy has devoted himself to public service. He’s a leading national security expert – working at the Pentagon and in Afghanistan as a civilian advisor to the military, and in 2018, he made history by being the first AAPI federally elected official from New Jersey.
But after seeing the chaos, dysfunction, and extremism in politics, Andy decided to roll up his sleeves to step up and fight for his family, neighbors, the community that raised him, and working families across New Jersey. Now he is running to represent New Jersey in the U.S. Senate and is building a movement to restore trust and integrity in the U.S. Senate.
Now more than ever we need a new generation of leadership in the U.S. Senate that can boldly take on the challenges working people face daily — Andy Kim embodies that leadership.
He's put in the work, he's proven he can deliver, and he deserves our support.
