Nothing’s changed about the Life at Conception Act, the legislation my opponent and 124 other Republicans sponsored that would effectively ban abortion and IVF nationwide.  

 

But there’s another threat to women’s reproductive rights, and this one’s on the Supreme Court docket.

 

In just 24 hours, SCOTUS will hear oral arguments on the FDA’s guidance for mifepristone, a drug used in non-surgical abortions.

 

Once again, nine justices will decide on the future of women’s access to safe and often lifesaving medical care. If they rule in favor of the religious group challenging the FDA, millions of women will be impacted – even in states where abortion is legal.

 

We have to win this race and help Democrats flip the House. The harder we work, the greater our chances of having enough votes to pass a national law protecting women’s rights next year.

I remember after Roe was overturned, Lindsey Graham proposed legislation to ban abortion across the country. Republicans came out in droves to say “That’s not what we’re doing, this is about states’ rights!”

 

John, they were lying. 

 

We are witnessing a two-sided attack on abortion access at the federal level, from Congress and the courts, and it’s up to us to stop it.
