Last Friday on March 22nd, MAGA Rep. Kevin Hern voted to shut our government down. Since September 2023, Hern has voted five times to do just that. If the responsible majority in Congress had not prevailed, at midnight that day our government would have closed. I’m running for Congress in Oklahoma’s First District to defeat Hern and stop his “vote NO and take the dough” MAGA politics.
It’s clear that Hern is working to defeat America. There is no one in Congress more anti-federal government than Hern. On every bipartisan bill passed to keep our government open – Hern has voted NO. On every bill that is bringing to Oklahoma good jobs, building critical industries, and fixing our roads, bridges, and levees – Hern has voted NO. On every bill helping our Veterans or strengthening our Unions – Hern has voted NO.
The total of what Hern has done in Congress for Oklahoma is ZERO – unless you count this – he named a Post Office.
But that’s not the only problem with Hern. Hern has brought a MAGA franchise to Oklahoma that’s tearing us apart. Hern is Trump’s biggest enabler. And why not? Hern is fundraising day and night on the MAGA brand that’s a mixture of hate, retribution, and victimhood. That’s Hern’s version of “vote NO and take the dough.” The day we leave Hern behind is the day Oklahoma moves forward.
Our campaign is a fight against the MAGA extremism dividing our country. This campaign is about the responsible majority putting an end to extremism by voting for Representatives who place America’s best interests above politics. Who pass meaningful legislation that moves our country forward. Who are working to create the best version of America.
This office should be about planning our future. Setting our sights 5 years, 10 years and 15 years into the future. We want to create and sustain a regional economic hub that brings jobs and economic security to all Oklahomans. We want the First District right in the middle of that hub – with high-speed rail from Tulsa to Oklahoma City, to Kansas City, to Little Rock.
Our campaign is working day and night to tell Oklahomans the truth about Kevin Hern. When they hear that story there won’t be a place in the First District for MAGA extremism.
