Friends and Comrades- Thank you to everyone who canvassed for a ceasefire in Gaza yesterday and who contacted the Four Seasons Rancho Encantado and Global Santa Fe to protest the now-cancelled talk by the Israeli Consul to the Southwest. Despite what local media coverage might have people believe, our collective voices continue to make Santa Fe a safer place for all people when we center them on justice and dignity for all people. Our general meeting this week will give us another chance to use our collective power, as we will have a chance to consider candidates looking for possible chapter endorsements. Tell the City Council: Ceasefire Now!
|
If you are able, please join us at this week's City Council meeting (200 Lincoln Ave.) on Wednesday, 3/27, to show up and voice your support for a ceasefire resolution that Councilors Castro and Faulkner are co-sponsoring. The mayor appears to be stalling this resolution, so let's show him how many Santa Feans want to see a permanent ceasefire now!
?
Our chapter and other allied organizations are currently collecting signatures for a petition demanding the City Council pass a resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. If you are a resident of the city of Santa Fe, please consider adding your name to the petition at this link.?

Our next General Meeting will take place on Sunday, March 31st at Earthcare(6600 Valentine Way) at 2pm. The bulk of this meeting will focus on possibly endorsing candidates for the June primaries. We'll be sending out questionnaires these candidates have filled out to Santa Fe DSA members in another email later this week. As usual, there will be free coffee and snacks!

DSA depends on support from ordinary members, rather than corporate funding or grants. As we ramp up our campaigns to take on the millionaire and billionaire class in New Mexico, any donations you can provide will go a long way.
